Bad luck.
That has happened to me on net-a-porter too. Probably because there are a number of fellow student fashionettes who are also looking for steals.
If you know there is a specific garment you want, you can request early notification, and at least be in the running for getting it while in stock...
Ooooh, love that idea. It's already my new obsession.
