The Pains of the Fashion Industry

Despite a freshman collection bought out by Barney's, despite winning CFDA's Fashion Fund award, and despite giving into the vast consumerization known as Target, Proenza Schouler is still experiencing growing pains.

After buying out one of their investors, the design team has been looking for some deep pockets to expand their business. Apparently, an unnamed European luxury firm is said to be helping the young designers with their financial expansion.

I wonder if this will be a merger, an acquisition, or merely a loan...

I hate fads...

The high-waists, the full legs... another fad is coming this Spring. Except it's already here and as hideous as ever. Seriously, even the Shopbop model looks odd-shaped.And then we have the poor fashion victims that just don't know any better:I can see this style working approximately .1% of the time on about .1% of the world's female population. So unless you fall into that .01%, I severely discourage anyone from attempting this look. Just don't. For your own sake.
