History Repeats

Just had the loveliest trip to Barcelona this weekend. What a wonderful vibe and sense of style! You have your typical Chloe chic girls, mixed with more bohemian Spanish beach surfers, all thrown into modernist galleries with trendy universitat students.
While wandering the city doing touristy things one day, I decided to go against my guidebook's suggestion of skipping "the dull Museu Textil i d'Indumentaria," and popped over there after getting my Picasso fix from across the street. While the layout wasn't awe-inspiring, the collection was quaint and beautiful. Looking at pieces from the eighteenth century, it was amazing to see dresses that could still be worn on the red carpet today.Or how about the classic Balenciaga donation?
I love classic vintage.

Wait, WHAT?!

Nicole Richie on the cover of Vogue Italia this month.
Mischa Barton on the cover of Vogue UK next month.
Paris Hilton on the cover of Vogue Paris next month.

I don't know if any of you caught the October issue of Vogue Italia... but people like Kevin Federline were featured in it. Multiple times.

I'm not freaking out yet. It's probably a joke. It has to be a joke.

Unplanned Hiatus

It has been a whirlwind these past 2 weeks. Morocco and Milan, with many places in between...
Anyway, Morocco was a scarf fiend's wet dream. The women there drape themselves with gorgeous shawls and beautiful garbs. I just wish I was able to take more pictures. But, the king was travelling through the region, security was tight, and cameras were frowned upon.
The people were so kind and generous, however, that the trip left a lasting impression on me, as well as gorgeous handcrafted goods: Copper bracelets and shawls in an array of sparkling colors that contrast with this fall's dark wardrobe.
